Old Age Makeup

Today we put on aging makeup.  I started off by creating 5 pages of research by gathering photos from the internet and from family sources of older women.  When I arrived in class we did a few facial exercises that would expose where our wrinkle lines would be once we are older and transferred those lines onto my headshot.

Next, I applied foundation and transferred the lines from my headshot onto my face with my eyebrow pencil.   I originally put them on lightly and traced them over again once they were approved.

Next, on the outside of the vertical lines and the top of the horizontal lines, I used my smallest brush and added some highlight.

And then blended the highlight up and out and the shadow down and in.  Sue also helped me add some more age lines and darken up my eyes.

Then I worked on making half my lips disappear. This wasn't as successful for me since my lips were really chapped and I started with too light a makeup which made it very hard to blend into my natural skin tone.

Next, I added snow white onto my eyebrows by painting it onto one of my eyebrow combs and combing it lightly into my eyebrows.

The final step was to add some rouge to my cheeks.

The final product for day 1:

The next step was to do this makeup again but this time adding on facial hair (the process of making the hair appliance is in the Mustache and Eyebrows page)

So I put on my old age makeup this time much faster than before

Once my makeup was done I took a baby wipe and cleaned off the areas where the appliance would sit. But while I was doing that I let some spirit gum dry on the back of all of the appliances.

Once the spirit gum dried I applied my eyebrows by pressing them hard onto my face for 60 seconds each (the eyebrows I made are super long)

Finally, I added the mustache and my look was complete.
