Mustache and Eyebrows

We were instructed to create a mustache and eyebrows for my old age makeup.

to start off Sue gave me a template which I placed between two sheet protectors and then placed flesh-colored mesh over the template

As soon as that was complete I tested out latex and spirit gum on my arm to make sure I would not have an allergic reaction.

Once I was completely prepped I picked out two colors for the hair (I picked red and black) and separated each color into 10 small even piles.

After that, I mixed the colors together by placing them on top of each other and then pulling them apart all while keeping the ends lined up.  I repeated this until the colors were evenly blended together.

While I was finishing that process I started applying latex to the template to save some time.

After that first layer dried I started applying the hair.  With he mustache I started from the bottom and worked my way up, on the eyebrows I started on the far end and worked my way inwards.

I continued on adding more hair as each bit of latex dried until both were full

The next to last step was to shape the hair with hair spray. I did this by applying hair spray to my fingers and then using my fingers to create a shape and tame everything down a little bit.  I then used the brush side of my eyebrow brush to get rid of any loose pieces.

The final step was the cut out the appliance:
